Winner of the 2014-2015 Moss Hart Award for Theatre
As an aspiring playwright and actor growing up in Rhode Island, I had the amazing fortune of being able to write an original musical with an amazing team of teenagers and adults.
“The Outcast of Sherwood Forest” follows Robin Hood years before popular tales place him. Acting as an origin story, we follow the band of brothers as they fight against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, the puppet master behind Prince John’s flamboyant reign.
Over the span of four years, we were able to write and compose this full 90-minute musical, perform it with teens in a workshop premiere production, win the Moss Hart Award for Theatre (after being bumped up to the professional division), and then get a demo recording made in New York City with Broadway performers. What more could you ask for?
I wish I could post clips from the demo for you, but upon request, they can be sent to you! If you're a theater that would like to perform "THE OUTCAST OF SHERWOOD FOREST", please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
